Selling Cardiff City matchday programmes: Jake Clayton
Unknown to Huw’s family, Jake Clayton contacted Cardiff City in the middle of March asking if they could produce an article about Huw in a matchday programme. An article was included in the next programme and on the Cardiff City web site – with a further follow up item on the Club’s site. The Club and its printers kindly provided Jake with 150 free copies of the programme which he has sold for the Trust – Jake has raised up to £358 from this with a further £60 to come. Everyone who wants a programme will have bought one by now, but we have a few left so if anyone wants to buy a copy just Contact Us.
Nick, Jen and Carys were offered complimentary tickets for the match too. The fixture was Cardiff City vs Derby County on 2nd April which Cardiff won 4-1. It was a moving day, but Nick, Jen and Carys are glad they went and are grateful to Jake for his taking the time and the trouble to do this – and even think of it in the first place.
Since 2nd April, the club have backed The Huw Thatcher Trust and we are hoping they will allows us to do a bucket collection next season.
