Here’s some feedback from a good day cycling on 24th September

Here are some pics and some feedback from the cycling event organised by the Cullaighs on Saturday 24th Sept.  A good group turned up and they all had a really good day and raised some money for Huw’s trust.  Most of all it was something that the Cullaighs wanted to do to remember Huw in a positive way – thank you and well done everybody.

Here is some feedback on Andy Thompson’s & Liz Blezard’s successful completion of the Great North Run

Andy Thompson and Liz Blezard both finished the Great North Run on Sunday 18th September 2011.  Big Andy finished in 2 hours 8 minutes, just 18 months after breaking his leg and Liz finished in just over 2 hours (we’re not sure of the exact time yet.)  They were spurred on by Huw and both raised a lot for his Trust.  Congratulations on a great achievement to both of them.  Here’s a bit more info about their day along with links to some photos.

In a week when the summer holidays have finished, schools have gone back and when the under 16 football season is about to start, there’s been a lot of news about Huw’s Trust.  News of heart warming acts along with generous and unexpected donations.  A week when so many of us have missed Huw so much, has also seen some positives.  Life can be like a weird mirror – the worst things can happen but some of the kindest things can be reflected back.

Memories & pics of Huw at school as schools go back this September

As the schools go back this year, there are lots of memories of Huw starting school and new school years.  Huw was at very happy stages (like he always was) when he started at Upperthong Junior School in 2000 and Holmfirth High School in 2007.  He was always happy at school throughout nursery, junior school and high school.
