Anuschka Kruger successfully completes the Catterick Para 10 mile race on 11th September 2011

Anuschka Kruger completed the Para10 at Catterick on Sunday September 11th in one hour and 42 minutes.  For some reason she was a bit disappointed with the time!  As you can imagine it’s a really tough event and it’s a great achievement to finish it in whatever time.  Anuschka has raised £600 to be split evenly between Help for Heroes and Huw’s trust.  Here is a pic of her medal from last year.

Anuschka Kruger used to work in Bargain Booze and regularly served Huw snacks during a break from his football etc at Sands.  She confirms that it was just the food he went to Bargain Booze for 🙂  Huw would ask Nick for some money for his lunch on a Saturday and then ask Jenny!  That way he’d get 2 hot sandwiches!   This is a great gesture, from someone who had a fleeting glimpse of Huw’s life but has been touched by what has happened.  This is so kind of Anuschka especially bearing in mind the importance of Help for Heroes to her as she has family in the forces.
