Johnny Thatcher and Joe Fish complete the Reading half marathon in their ‘Thatch 2’ shirts
Huw’s 18 year old cousin Johnny and his pal Joe (both from Newbury, Berks) finished the Reading Half Marathon on Sunday 1st April. Here they are before the race.
The lads finished the race in a very creditable 1 hour and 51 minutes. It was a big event – starting and finishing at Reading’s football stadium. It’s the first long distance event either of them have done so a great effort from the 2 lads.
They will have raised around £250 for Huw’s trust by the time they collect their money in which again is a great effort.
They were proud to do the whole run in their Huw T shirts and it’s lovely to see ‘Thatch 2’ in the pictures below in Reading – being worn by a young cousin who Huw was so fond of and spent so much time with – along with his good friend Joe.
Steve Harris from Holmfirth also completed the race as part of his training for the London Marathon on 22nd April that he’s doing for the Trust.
Well done lads, you should be proud of yourselves and here are some more pics of Joe and Johnny.
