1st Upperthong Brownies raise over £400 cycling at Sands :)

At the end of May (as shown in the picture) 1st Upperthong Brownies did a sponsored cycle around Sands at Holmfirth and raised over £400.

That was a fantastic effort from these girls, and it was lovely to go and see them all in July so I could say thank you.  I was delighted to give them all a Huw wrist band and a certificate.  Some of the girls knew Huw and one of them remembers Huw picking her up and swinging her around upside down when he was round to visit her older sister!

It’s lovely that they did the ride at Sands which was such a special place for Huw.  Thank you so much to Teresa (the leader aka Brown Owl!) plus Charlotte and Hannah who came up with the idea and who were both in school with Huw.
