Huw will shine forever – thank you for keeping a light shining for Huw at New Year ♥ ♥ ♥
2011 has been a tragic year; it still seems impossible that Huw is not well into his 17th year and enjoying New Year. Many people who enjoyed Huw’s company over the years will be thinking about him this New Year. Here he is on the New Year bank holiday weekend last year.
Memories of Christmas times with Huw ♥ ♥ ♥
Huw enjoyed himself at Christmas time every year. Many of us have lovely memories at Christmas of his smile, banter, sense of fun, nice time with his friends, and his love of his extended and immediate family. Here he is at Christmas time last year – laughing because the star would look like it was sticking out of his head.
A memory from Abbie Dare: you were one of the loveliest guys I have ever met, you looked after me and never failed to make me laugh
Here’s a lovely message from Abbie Dare; Abbie went to Wooldale Primary School and met Huw 3 years ago. This is what she says about him. (Don’t blame Abbie for the history cartoon here – that’s my idea!) Read more
The Bowers: You had it all Huw: kind, caring, looks and a little bit of mischief we all loved you for
The Bowers family (parents Nige and Jules, son Will and his elder sister Charlotte) first met Huw when he and Will were 5 and they became great friends. Here are some lovely memories from all of them. Thank you for letting us put these on Huw’s web site 🙂
Final day (Sunday) added to what Huw wrote in his diary of half term in October 2006 :)
Sunday 29thth October 2006 from Huw’s diary has now been added below.
As part of his school work in his last year at Upperthong Junior School, Huw had to write a diary of what he did in the October half term holiday. So we go back to October 2006, Huw was in year 6 and was nearly 11.
Huwie’s original spelling and grammar have been left 🙂
Memories of when Huw met the Welsh rugby team in 2010 as Wales prepare for the Rugby World Cup semi final
Huw’s Uncle Steve knows Jamie Roberts the Wales (and British Lions) Centre, and his family. On 13th February 2010 they got Huw, Cousin Doug and Nick tickets to see Wales vs Scotland at the Millenium Stadium and we watched the game with Jamie’s parents. Huw and Doug met the Welsh players afterwards 🙂
To where you are: who can say for certain, maybe you’re still here?
One of Huw’s friends (a girl from his school year) was thinking of Huw the other day – this is her memory and at the end is a link to a beautiful song she heard on the radio.
Memories of Huw as Hepworth’s season starts: Huw loved playing footie with his friends & being part of a team with lads he adored
Here are some Hepworth United photos, memories and reflections on the day when the new football season started for Huw’s team mates, now in the Under 16s. Just like the first day at school last week, the first competitive match of season is a time when Hepworth’s number 2 has been remembered with love.
Memories & pics of Huw at school as schools go back this September
As the schools go back this year, there are lots of memories of Huw starting school and new school years. Huw was at very happy stages (like he always was) when he started at Upperthong Junior School in 2000 and Holmfirth High School in 2007. He was always happy at school throughout nursery, junior school and high school.
George ‘Little’ Richardson: You were an amazing, talented, hilarious, and respected person, who will be remembered in the hearts and minds of everyone
George ‘Little’ Richardson (just like ‘Big’ George Richardson) is another good friend of Huw’s – I’m not sure what they’ll do about their names if ‘little’ George gets the same size as ‘big’ George 🙂 There’s not much in it now! Little George has lots of good memories of Huw. George lent Huw some gear for Ella’s surprise fancy dress party in early March this year. It was a bit tight on Huw which made everyone laugh the picture here is Huw in the gear giving Ella some Heros chocs for her birthday. I dropped Huw off outside the pub in Scholes to meet George that night and picked him up at the party. Huw had a wonderful time that night at Ella’s party with George and a whole bunch of his lovely friends. And here are some more memories from George.
