Carys completed the Manchester Half Marathon on 16th October in memory of her beautiful brother xx

Carys ran for her brother in Manchester on 16th October – just Carys – to remember Huw in a way she wanted to.  He would be very proud of her as his 21st birthday approaches.

Carys doesn’t shout about things – least of all complain or feel sorry for herself – and she chose her time to run for Huw.

There’s a lot behind Carys’s beautiful smile including a great deal of determination. She completed the half marathon despite a recent injury but she was determined to run for her beautiful brother – and completed it in 2 hours and 20 minutes – even managing a sprint finish!

Carys ran on her own for the brother she totally adored and who adored her back. But she wasn’t alone – she had Huw in her heart as well as on her shirt – and I loved cheering her on at various points around the course too.

Carys chose to do this for Huw, but she also raised over £600 and Huw would be very proud, like he always was.  Carys is very grateful to everyone who sponsored her, so thank you very much to all those kind people for their generosity.

Well done Cas – you smashed it for Huw.  You are both loved very much and here are some pictures of the day xxxxxxxxx
