6 years later forgotten by no one, and loved by everyone: running for Huw’s and a touching message from Huw’s Granny

by huw15

Six years later Huw, you are forgotten by no one, and loved by everyone: including at this time by 2 of your friends and by your Granny who passed away recently.

Two of your best friends are especially are not forgetting you at this time. Will (Bowers) is running the Manchester Marathon in 3 weeks on April 2nd, and Sean (Brennan) is running the Great North Run in Newcastle on the 10th of September – in your memory. Two of your oldest friends – Sean from Tumbletots when from when you were both 4 and Will from school when you were both 5 – and for many happy years afterwards.

It means a lot Will and Sean are dedicated to do this – thank you – and anyone who wishes to sponsor the lads can do it at the Justgiving link at the end of this message.

Sadly my 83 year-old Mum (Huw’s Granny) passed away a couple of months ago, and I feel sure she would want me to share the touching message below that she wrote in March 2011 – which I came across this weekend. She loved Huw every day since he was born and the feeling was entirely mutual. Even Mum’s funeral donations have raised £500 (so far) in his memory. Thank you Mum, and thank you Huw for being our perfect son, and a perfect brother, cousin, friend and of course grandson.

‘My darling Huw – I know how much you loved me and you know how much I loved you (my dimpled boy) from your babyhood to the present day. When I last saw you at Christmas you were a tall slim handsome young man. You enriched my live for 15 years and now there’s a huge gap. I shall never forget your cheeky smile, but one thing I know for sure; one day we shall meet again (with Mark) on another shore. Au revoir. Your loving Granny xxxx’

Thinking of your lovely family and friends today like we often do Huw, and loving you today as we do every single day xxxx
