We have got hold of some more wrist bands because the first lot sold out. So there are plenty left. We’ll sell more bands at the events this year so they’ll all get sold. But we just wanted to let people know there are some left.

Huw Thatcher: a shining light forever. Memories of Huw Thatcher: the boy with the beautiful smile, by Nick Thatcher
Nick has written a book of memories and colour photos about Huw – it is now available to buy with any surplus from sales going to the Huw Thatcher Trust.
The cost is £8 but Nick wrote it to share lovely memories about Huw not really to raise funds – sorry about the price but they were quite a lot to get printed due to the relatively small numbers.
If anyone would like a copy please let Nick know either from Contact Us on this website or any other way. It can be posted if you want too.

Johnny Thatcher and Joe Fish complete the Reading half marathon in their ‘Thatch 2’ shirts
Huw’s 18 year old cousin Johnny and his pal Joe (both from Newbury, Berks) finished the Reading Half Marathon on Sunday 1st April. Here they are before the race.
An incredible experience at the sports night on Saturday 24th March – lost for words…..almost!
All of us who were at the Cedar Court on Saturday 24th March took place in something special. We had a highly entertaining night and remembered Huw in a positive way – and we raised something between £8,000 and £10,000 for Huw’s Trust with a substantial donation to go to ‘Beating Bowel Cancer’.
Not moving on, but carrying on – and taking Huw along with us
Thank you to everyone who was so kind in March – well over the last year or so actually. We know that a lot of people got some comfort from giving or receiving flowers, playing football or seeing the lovely messages over the last week. We also know a number of people were very upset at certain times around 13th March.

Nick and Carys had a day to remember at Wembley on Sunday 26th February with Rod and Greg Young as Cardiff City put in one of the great ‘under-dog’ performances in a Wembley cup final – taking Liverpool to penalties in the League Cup final.
There were treasured days to remember with Huw at Wembley in the past and at scores of other city matches.
